During soft launch, Idler phones you and the owner within 4 hours of your inquiry to confirm dates, payment, and pickup. Payment is arranged directly with the owner for now — Stripe escrow and bond handling are coming soon.

Pick up or get it delivered. Use it for the period agreed. Return it. Any bond is released or claimed between you and the owner. Leave a review of the machine and owner.

Submit your machine through the listing form — description, photos, daily rate, bond policy. Takes 5 minutes. Idler reviews and publishes within 24 hours.

Renters book through your listing. You get an email heads-up with limited info; Idler phones you to confirm dates and pickup. Renter contact stays with Idler until booking is locked.

During soft launch, the renter pays you directly. Idler invoices the 8% commission separately on confirmed bookings. Once Stripe Connect goes live, the platform will handle payment automatically — 92% to your bank in 1–2 business days, 8% to Idler. No upfront cost, no monthly fees.
